Supreme Court Defers ‘Mahaprabhu Jagannath’ Immediate Release, Allows Nationwide Screening From July 28 After Rath Yatra

The Supreme Court on Friday allowed the release of animated film Mahaprabhu Jagannath only after the completion of the Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra on July 27. The court refused immediate release, upheld the Odisha High Court’s interim ban and permitted screening from July 28. The makers had challenged the ban, citing CBFC clearance and heavy investments.
