Vehicular movement halted on Jammu-Srinagar NH due to heavy rain, mudslides
Srinagar, Jul 22: Vehicular movement on both sides of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) has been stopped due to heavy rainfall along the highway and multiple incidents of shooting stones and mudslides, J&K Traffic Police said. In an update posted on X, the Traffic Police advised commuters not to undertake any journey on NH-44 until the weather improves and the road is declared safe for traffic. It also advised commuters to check the status of the highway through the Traffic Police’s X handle, Facebook page and Traffic Control Units (TCUs).
