As activist Sonam Wangchuk’s indefinite hunger strike enters its 17th day at Jantar Mantar, his health has sharply deteriorated with significant muscle loss. While refusing to end his fast until the government agrees to a dialogue, a group of eminent citizens including Arundhati Roy and Naseeruddin Shah have issued a joint appeal urging the protesters to preserve their health for the “marathon” struggle ahead.
