TOKYO: Advantest raised its annual operating profit forecast by 35% on Wednesday as spending on artificial intelligence drives demand for its chip-testing equipment. Advantest expects operating profit to rise by 70% to 846 billion yen ($5.17 billion) in the financial year ending March 2027. The average forecast from analysts polled by LSEG was for operating profit of 686 billion yen in the year to March 31.
