IMD weather update: Heavy rainfall, strong winds and thunderstorms likely across these Indian states, what travellers need to know

Extensive rains are predicted across many parts of India for the coming week. A new Western Disturbance will bring additional rainfall to northwest India starting August 4. Heavy to very heavy rains are forecast for several states including Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh. Low flash flood risk is issued for some Himalayan states due to saturated ground conditions. The public is advised to check traffic and avoid waterlogged areas.
