HYDERABAD: 20 passengers were seriously injured after an Eicher vehicle collided with a private travel bus on Pogururu Bridge in Pamidi mandal early Sunday. Both vehicles fell off the bridge following the impact.

The bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru when the accident occurred. A total of 40 passengers were on board the bus, according to the information available.

Police rushed to the spot after the accident and launched rescue operations. The injured passengers were pulled out of the bus and shifted to a hospital for treatment.

The official Ananthapuramu district website confirms Pamidi as a mandal in the district.
