Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian benchmark indices opened on a positive note on July 16, with the Nifty 50 reclaiming the 24,100 mark, supported by buying in IT, auto and consumer durables stocks. Among the top gainers on the Nifty were HCL Tech, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Hindalco and Wipro, while SBI Life Insurance, Grasim, ONGC, Bajaj Finserv and Eicher Motors were the key laggards in early trade. Meanwhile, the broader market remained subdued, with the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 indices trading largely flat in early deals.
